The Krista CAPABLE Preschool Programme is an award-winning early childhood education programme that has garnered 11 national records for children achievements in the Malaysia Book of Records. The word ‘CAPABLE’ is derived from the first letter of the seven components of the programme, namely Child-centred learning, Acquisition of knowledge, Practical experiences, Assessment provision, Benevolence inculcation, Learn through and to play and Exploratory endeavours. This unique preschool programme is an all-encompassing programme that guides the child within the 4 main segments of individuality, the effective acquisition of knowledge, character building and the achieving of competency as preparatory groundwork for a successful lifelong learning process.
Krista believes in translating life’s lessons and values to the children through plenty of fun experiential learning activities in a safe and conducive environment where every child is given the opportunity and platform to develop holistically and have memorable childhood experiences. Since Krista opened its doors to young children in their early childhood years some 30 years ago, thousands upon thousands of them have benefited from the wonderful programmes and meaningful activities carried out at Krista centres nation-wide.
The first batch of Krista students are in their thirties now and over the years, many Krista students who have moved on to primary and secondary education have done very well in their studies and in their overall development. Amani Hamzah, a former student of Krista who had obtained 5As in the primary six and 8As in the lower secondary government school examinations respectively had this to say of her early years at Krista Bukit Antarabangsa, Selangor, “It was ages ago. I’m now turning 18. I think Krista is ‘AWESOME’, literally.” Others who have wrought similar achievements are Azeid Aldrin Mohd Amin, Kuhan Batmanaban and Muhamad Salman Mohamad Hassan who were the ex-students of Krista Pantai Sepang Putra in Sungei Pelek, Selangor.
Primary school students like Lau Enyi, Wang En Thong, Lee Shin Yee, Yap Kah Meng, Abigail Anne, Ong Shi Ching, Liow Yee Xuan and Aurelia Ava are currently among the top three students in their respective class. They were the ex-Krista students of Krista Taman Yayasan and Krista Taman Bandar Putra in Segamat in Johor. Students like Sanggaavi Panjanathan who was also an ex-Krista Pantai Sepang Putra took first position for four consecutive years in her primary school and her brother, Kumanaan a/l Panjanathan was the top student in Primary One. Her ex-Krista classmates and schoolmates like Pavithraa Tamil Alagan, Nur Afiqah Adriana bt Azhar, J. Augustian and Muhammad Norsyafiq bin Nordin were also the top students in the primary schools they currently attend. Siblings in the likes of Presana, Brintha and Nisshant Gnanaguru also took the top few positions in their school. Krista has given them and the many other ex-Krista students a very strong and appropriate foundation for them to excel in their primary, secondary school years and beyond.
